It's going to be in the 60's all week here. I'll be out in the 65 with the roof off today. I did just pull the boat and will be winterizing it this morning. The Vettes will continue to roll.
Oh, my hockey sticks still go between the seats from the console to the back.
Not too far from you. I drive my old cars anytime the roads are dry and salt free, year round which is not all that much around here. The rest of the time my garage becomes my living room and office.
But Steve, its Hockey season, I thought you had a winter hobby?
Hockey is not related to not having the Corvette available. Back in the 70s in college I’d drive my ‘65 to morning practice in New England winters with my stick poking out of the passenger side window! I’ve since given up driving them in the snow.

Ugh, I had a Jeep years ago and hated it. I actually like my winter cars a lot but as suggested above, they dont replace the ‘63.

You could leave me your classic car collection in your will. I don't see anything there i wouldn't want.

The 308 and the Mustang are bundled up and the SWC was picked up today for a winter at the shop while getting some needed freshening up.
I was just zipping around on some country roads yesterday in the 308 with the targa top off. You gotta feel the difference the 3.6L upgrade makes...Or maybe you shouldn't, its a wallet lightener upgrade.

Whatcha doing to the '63?
Doug
I was wondering how that beauty was running, Doug!
I took mine for a nice long ride with the top off on a brisk cool day before I put the cover on. Still a super fun car to drive, although I’m sure not as fun as yours!
The ‘63 was restored in the 90s but barely driven since. So, even though it looks nice it needs some freshening. The newish looking tires are 30 years old and new Diamondbacks going on. Good time to check wheel stamps to see if they are ‘63. The radiator is perfectly functional, but not absolutely aesthetically correct so new Dewitt going in. Mufflers are quiet but showing some surface rust. Blinkers not working. Big stuff: adding power steering and power brakes. A list of other minor cosmetic details.
Winters arriving soon so my son and I went ski shopping. They were very gently placed on the car for the picture, and then carefully tucked in along the console. It was a tight fit. As soon as they salt the roads the car will be stored until spring. It's been a good year with over 5k miles.
Can't wait for the snow to fly and get those temps down in the 10-degree level. Time to get out the ice racing hardware. Wish we could do this all year long!
People that complain about winter need to decide what is really important to them. If you are still working can you do it from home with all of the computer changes and the new attitude about all of this?
I know that many of you have family that is hard to leave and this is the reason that keeps you in that snow covered mess. So, think of how often you actually see the family. Look at the economics of it all. If you moved to a better year around climate what does it cost to visit the family as often as you normally do? Would they come visit you?
Is it time to downsize the house and upsize the garage space? Why do it where you currently live?
