Default PPG Paint

Hello everyone, looking for some input on using PPG's Aquabase-plus in black. Anyone have any experience using this? What kind of results are expected?
Thank you.

For dark solid, non metallic colors I prefer PPG Concept single stage paint. The reason for this is for depth of color in my opinion is deeper with the single stage than it is with two stage base/clear. I have used this paint for many years on various cars. My 66 Coupe and two years ago I painted my 69 Nova are both PPG 9300 Concept black just straight color no added pigments. It is a very black, black. Depending on what you want you can get various red/black, blue/black and brown/black shades of black. There is no such thing a just black, some people will understand what I mean.

Yes, I understand. And I agree PPG Concept SS black is just deep black black. Good stuff. Don’t know much about the water based base coats. Might want to repost this question over in the body/paint section of the forum where the painting guys hang out.

I painted my '67 GTO in 1993 with PPG metallic single stage and it still looks presentable. Good stuff.
