Default Door issues

So I ran into a couple of issues last night with my drivers side door. It wouldn't open from the outside. I crawled in from the passenger side and tried, finally getting it open with a bump from my shoulder. While inspecting it, I noticed some broken fiberglass, then after getting the door closed again, see that it is out of alignment. I am wondering if it somehow got out of alignment, which then caused the fiberglass to break. Here are a couple of pics, can anyone shed light on this and tell me how to adjust the door? BTW, it's a 58.

I would think someone didn't tighten the door hinge bolts enough.

The St-12 tells you how to adjust a door and many other things. A must if you are going to work on your Corvette!

I have the ST-12, but my door seems to be "twisted", by that I mean the bottom back fits great, it's just the top that seems to go too far in when closed, making the chrome pieces not line up on top. The ST-12 doesn't address that, which might be due to a door that is actually warped a little, maybe? I don't care about everything being perfect, just functional.

Is your frame solid? With the increased door gap at the top, it seems the body shims are out of place. Check the body shims at the rear crossmember.

I don't see how a fiberglass door could warp, but I guess it's possible. Has it always been like this or did this just start? Can't tell where the fiberglass is broken, please explain. Have you tried adjusting the striker plate? Adjusting the hinges move the door in or out and up and down, have you tried that?

Captain, the door has been like this since I got it, just 2 months ago. I had a few minutes to look at it earlier today, and I think the issue is the striker plate, but the problem seems to be that the striker plate is too far away from the catch, not too high or low. I put a couple of washers behind the striker and the door catches, but has a little slack in it. I will try adjusting the door in an aft direction when I get some time. It looks like to do that I have to access the inside of the door, correct?

And the fiberglass is broken underneath the "molding end" on top of the door. It could have been like this when I got the car and I just noticed it when my door wouldn't close.
