Default Door assembly sequence

I am putting doors back together on my '63 coupe - what is the best sequence of assembly ? I think I've seen someone post this but do not recall. Here is my best guess

1. vent window assy,
2. upper L shaped fuzzy channel that goes into the top & rear that window slides up into,
3. outer stainless w/ rubber wipe that the outer SS bead from #2 feeds into on the rear
4. door window, glass
5. rear lower vertical channel w/ felt (uses 2 screws on door latch part of the door, then
6. door panel ?

is there a sequence that works better?

Been a long time since I’ve done this but from memory the first step is to bolt the crank assembly in place. Then set the window glass in the bottom of the door to the rear then install the vent window assembly. Then install the glass into the front track and to the crank assembly and slip the rear track into position and bolt it in. The shop manual has a good step by step description.

I think there is a difference between the coupe and convert as far as whether the glass needs to be removed to put the vent post in. If my memory is correct, guys need to look up videos and such specific to the body style. I'm pretty sure the shop manual does say the glass needs to be out on the convert, I don't know if this is so for the coupe, but I do think some of the on line instructions leave the glass in for the coupes.

If you have not already done it, here's a tip to ease installation of the lower rear window channel.

That procedure is very helpful but does not apply to the 63 door rear track assembly. The procedure outlined in the first post seems to be spot on IMO, just take your time.

DansYellow66 is correct. Shop manual has a good step by step description. Glass does go in before the vent assembly.
