The Harbor Vette Guys are at it!! Replacing trim parts and cleaning up can be frustrating!!!
Windshield in but because the upper trim corners were GLUED in.......there is a delay. It will be corrected tomorrow. New Trim clips and Upper Corners
Shop is a Dust Bowl... Car was cleaned and dusted again!! LOL!
A little Commentary:
Noticing a few minor issues with the Corvette after my purchase, revealed some really bad tasks that were performed prior to my purchase and earlier sale at Barrett Jackson (2014) (Snubber bushing in up-side-down, Power brake pump empty, GLUED in window trim, broken valance panel, mismatched/misrepresented rear suspension and differential.... And some other mysterious things makes me wonder how critical the review and inspection of these cars are prior to a Barrett Jackson Scottsdale sale!
BUT, they are getting fixed!

I have heard several horror stories of cars special prepped for Barrett Jackson, made to look really pretty for the role over the stage but underneath are not really built correctly or issues were hidden. So let the buyer beware? Glad you are getting your car straightened out.

Project update and additional information:
If you choose to, for some reason, install a motorized seat base in you C2 Corvette, you will need to install a tilt steering column.......I must admit, that I am committed to this particular task in this major project. I was very successful exiting the modiified seat in a fully raised position. Getting in to the Corvette at the seat's lowest position was not going to happen! Ididit Column ordered! April pick up is still scheduled.
GO-Pro video to end this long, drawn out thread is planned.........
Moral of this story: If you're handicapped and you want to continue driving you Corvette, Don't!!!! Buy a Conversion Van and be done with it!!!!!! You know I'm just kidding!!!!! GO FOR IT! "Keep the OLD MAN OUT"!
Blessings!!

LOL! Absolutely! Tested the C5 seat base and motors last week. Ididit Tilt wheel will be installed after its arrival in early April to compensate for the increase in 1-1/4" seat base height....Exiting was accomplished......I'll be able to get in and out!!!
Thanks Leif!

Interesting information on the power seat conversion to the 67 Coupe.
Photo shows the fabricated seat control mounting plate.....It actually looks "factory"!! I hope the door closes!!!
Harbor Vettes guys are obsessed!!!....It's actually funny how dedicated they are to this project...
The bracket they made will be adjustable for my situation. it will slide forward and backward and tightened in place.. Pretty cool if you're looking to try this conversion. I don't know why anyone would unless there is a phyical limitation......

One final door adjustment for leverage:
Using the termination bolts for the "Door Pull Handle", the guys have fabricated (whittled) a levderage handle to be painted and have a leather grip added! These guys have made this thing "Personal"... As I have just recently entered a Worldwide Drug Trial (Abcuro), My first of 7 Double injections over the next year and a half. This IBM (Inclusion Body Myositis) trial will involve 321 People with the disease from 5 Countries.... Popularized by the Great Gurarist, Peter Frampton who contracted the disease just after my diagnosis March 2019.....I was fortunate enough to meet Peter Frampton in Pittsburgh post concert for about a 45 min. discussion about our phyical limitations and prognosis....Interesting and also wonderful human being!!!
So we are going to continue to "Go For It"!

Hey Doug - that's just great news. Harbor Vettes continues to go above and beyond for you. Are you still scheduled to get the car back in a few weeks?
Wishing you the best of luck with the Abcuro trial.

Ididit Tilt Column is expected first week in April. They should be done with the Car by then. I believe the same shop that is making the Auto shifter boot will sew a cover for the door handle????
Two short Video's attached IMG 1379 (2).MOV shows Brad Goetz, Harbor Vettes demomstrating the leverage door handle that he is working on!
