If you get serious about this car I'd like to see pictures of the placement of the FI emblems. Does it have the round accelerator rod?

Part of the cost that we estimated for adding the FI unit to it is having someone good (like Jim Lockwood) go through it before you put it on. Some folks on the CF are not fans of the old Rochester fuel injection, but my experience in owning and driving an original fuel injected '57 over the last 11 years is that fuel injection is no more problem prone than an old carburetor... IF you make sure it's in good health when you start using it. Then you leave it alone. They're a bit prone to percolation problems in extreme heat (so are carburetors), but Jim has some great revisions to help prevent that.

Sounds like a great car. A '57 built that late will have the under dash reinforcements that help prevent door sag.

very well noted. Thanks. I sent you a message.

I’ll ask for the pictures you stated.

according to the above post, the window between car build and engine build could be as much as 5 weeks. i'd be way more comfortable if the window was about 1 week. post a photo of cleaned up engine pad. mike mccagh
