Not my car but thought I'd share it on here in case it looks like the project you have been looking for. It has a ph# in the ad so I don't think it's a scam. I guess it depends on what it could be bought for? My thoughts are that it's the widow letting go of her husbands car.
You never know.
A buddy who lives in the Bay Area was telling me the story of a guy who recently bought a 1969 Boss 429 Mustang from a little old lady for what her deceased son paid for it new.

Back in my day that dude what a got a punch in the face for taking advantage of an old lady who lost her son not something he should be bragging about, pretty low down….
Or some of the boys would have stole it….
Jay Leno was offered a Ferrari by a lady that was selling it. It was her husbands who died. She wanted a few hundred grand. Jay told her he thought it was worth a lot more that that. He made a deal, he would take it to an auction. If it did not sell for what she was asking he would buy it. It went for quite a bit as I recall. He said when interviewed about it he had plenty of cars, he doesn't need to cheat anybody. True story. .

Story goes that they actually offered her a decent amount and she would have nothing to do with it. The fellow was doing repair work.
And I agree, old ladies shouldn’t be taken advantage of.
just passing along the story…..
Funny how things on a thread can get off track. Folks upset about what a fella another fella knows paid (or seems to have under paid) for a car not related to the original topic.
I hope Andy60 gets an e-mail from this guy so we can know the facts (relatively speaking).

Reason: add
I just called the guy. Sounds like his name is Dennis. Got his answering machine (yeah, I know folks don't say that any more [watch and an episode of the old Rockford Files if you don't know what I'm talking about]). Anyway, if he calls me back, I will let y'all know.

Tuna Joe I know you were just passing on a story & I meant no disrespect to you It was the person in that story..
It grates me when I get talking to someone about what a nice car they have & they start bragging on how they stole it from somebody who didn’t know what they had a good deal is one thing but when people start talking about how they stole it I now asked them if thats how they want there wife or kids to be treated after they pass..
Sorry for the rant just a very sore subject..
Tuna Joe, thanks .
