I am sure he would have no problem putting me in my place. My experience with that car was about 20 miles in cold weather at night. I couldn’t dare risk driving it hard. My buddy also has a C7 Z06. It listed out at about $117 so it has the better brakes and carbon fiber pieces. We went to a track day and I was in my Miata. He had never been on a track. They put him in the top group and he passed anyone he pleased at pretty much any point on the track. The ZR1 is the top dog.

I’ll be back in October, a free man. We can take it out and flog it then. One thing I have discovered is that the 3LZ interior leather dash has a tendency to bubble and shrink. No one has really pinned down the root cause. Some say excess heat, others EPA mandated inferior glue, etc. My garage in Texas gets north of 110 degrees in the summer due to the west facing glass garage doors. I’m in the process of installing a Mr. cool split system in the garage. I went with the 24,000 btu unit given my garage is 800sf with 16 foot ceilings, so that should do it. My wife’s Cayenne also has a leather dash, so hopefully good for both and longer battery life. We shall see!
This C7 (my youngest son's) is a z51 2LT, so I'm doubtful it has the same interior materials as yours; plus it rarely gets driven, and stays in a cool garage anyway. No obvious distortion of any interior coverings at all. ....so far...
I put an 18K Mr. Cool in my 900 sqft R-panel shop (9ft ceilings) w/ closed cell insulation (walls and ceiling). It will freeze you out on average days and stays nice and cool on very hot days....Toasty warm in the winter too! You'll love it!!!

Thanks, @Ron@Vengeance Racing You guys built a stout beast!

I went to the local C&C last month. It is at Six Flags over Texas and drew over 1,600 cars (March was the first one in 2023). I was told I couldn’t come in with decals advertising a business. I told them it is not advertising. It is the spliced DNA of the car, as much a part of the car as the engine and seats. They let me in and the decals will stay.

When the Xpel guys found out the car is completely covered, they invited me to a parking place at their booth where I will be next Saturday. Everyone loves this Corvette!
