Has "The Wave" gone the way of all flesh? For the first time this year the Saturday weather yesterday was very nice, so I was out and about with my '65 drop top , including a cruise-in. I ran into quite a few Vettes, including a couple other C2s, but all I got were dumb looks (at best) when I waved. Does anyone do it anymore?
I get a 'return wave' from most Vette owners including late model Vettes here in North/Central Arizona. Hell, about a year ago, I had '2' back to back 'Porsche' owners wave to me. That was an eye opener and kinda neat too.

Yep, I always wave when I see another on the road. Some return the greeting, some don't. I suspect some owners of late-model Corvettes don't recognize that a C2 is a Corvette, or they've never been properly instructed about "the wave."
Around here in West Virginia we still wave. Now a C1 gets waves from every classic car, Harleys and pickup trucks. I just don’t wave at newer Mustangs.
Yesterday, I had people coming up at the gas station taking pics and conversations at red lights.
I usually get waves from '70s and prior cars of all makes and models. C4 is a mixed bag, C5-C8 seem pretty oblivious. I've mentioned before that almost all Harley riders give me the down-low -- and to look at me, I'm about as far from cool-bike-rider as you can get!
Got our first wave from a C8 owner Saturday. Shocking!! C6 and C7 once in a while along with C4 and C5s.
Had a C3 run me down leaving a cruise in just so he and his blond beauty could wave.
Bikers don't wave to anyone but other bikers.
I think it is a thing only with the older generation, the younger generation is texting on their phone.and really don't care about the other cars nor people.
There are very few under 50 owners at classic car gatherings now days. Those under 50 are driving "tuners" from across the pond.
I get more waves, horn honks, shoutouts from motorcyclists and motorists NOT in a Corvette, than I do from Corvette owners I come across while out in my 67 convertible. But I still wave at all Corvettes I see, regardless
I'm out for 40-50 miles in the '66 most Sunday mornings and, depending on the day, I can get waved at anywhere from a lot to none.
I hardly ever see another C1 or C2, but when I do they usually wave.
Newer Corvettes are hit or miss.
For some reason cops like to wave.
Almost every single old muscle car will wave.
It is not unusual for random pedestrians to wave.
A surprising number of people in normal daily drivers will wave... which is pretty cool but I'm sure I have probably not noticed some of them and they think I'm a jerk for not waving back.
I will wave at old clapped out Camaros, Firebirds, etc... they usually just look confused, but its fun.
Vintage euro sports cars (Triumph, MG, Austin-Healey) will almost always flash their lights and wave.
Porsche's will often wave, but rarely first.
I used to get waved at by a lot of motorcycles, but a memo must have gone out that it's not cool because now hardly any do.
There are only a few Ferraris, Lambos, and McLarens around here but they generally ignore my waves... which is fine because those aren't my people anyway.
