Starting Issues when hot

I haven’t had an issue the last 2 drives; fan still not reconnected. So, I will leave it as is for now until I learn how to correctly wire so it doesn’t run once car is turned off. I did sit idle at Sonic yesterday for 10 min and temp was getting higher than normal.
So, I was reading the original wiring was suppose to have a life span of about 10 years. This seems to be all original wiring…. So, I went ahead and ordered a new wiring harness for the electrical components: Starter, Alternator, Regulator, Blower fan, coil etc. I traced the old line and it looks easy enough for me to replace. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you everyone for all the advice, I am learning a lot about actually owning a classic car. I’ve been insuring them for years for my clients; new experience being on the other side.
