I believe my diagram is the same as yours, but I read it as the orange wire source is the top fuse. Then it goes to the brake light switch and the headlight switch. The picture the OP posted shows an additional white wire in that fuse box location that none of my pictures or diagrams don't show, so I'm really of little help. I can't tell if it comes out of the headlight switch, or goes to the headlight switch, but the headlight switch isn't fused, so possibly it is the source for the fuse and the brake and courtesy lights.

I believe you are correct: "but I read it as the orange wire source is the top fuse."
My 60 Doc Rebuild diagram shows that fuse getting power from a red wire from the horn relay. The orange appears to feed the brake light switch, courtesy light and headlight switch. I don't understand that white (or is it gray??) wire either.
Is this perhaps an aftermarket harness??

can’t see in my diagram where or how the red wire supplies the Orange wire.
The Orange has no fire at the fuse panel or the headlight switch regardless of the ignition on or off. Therefore no taillights, brake lights, or courtesy lights. I do have turn signals.

The orange wire should have 12 V all the time key on or key off, I don’t know exactly how it connects and can’t tell from the pictures and I’ve never had a 62. The pictures I have of the 62 fuse panel don’t show that white wire shown in the OP’s picture. The orange should get its power from the red wire at the fuse panel.
I’m the image I provided
it is a screen grab of the back of a replacement aftermarket. So the white wire may not be stock. The info provided does help as I suspected the Orange wire should be hot all the time. If I can properly regain power to the orange wire I’m certain my problem will be solved. As it just stopped working a few days ago.
Yup.... That's my photo of a 58-62 LL Main Harness fuse panel, not his actual. That top wire is Gray(photo whitenen it) for Accsy Instr Lamps taps, not used for stock wiring.
OP, as explained, Orange is fed from constant Red through top fuse as shown on back of panel. You'll have to remove your panel to check. Likely a broken terminal at orange or rusty fuse clip or rivet corrosion.

I think I've got it. The light in my head has been turned on.
Been looking for where the red wire feeds the orange one and it was right under my nose.
Is this how it happens? The top fuse transfers power from the red wire to the orange. See image.
The Red wire supplies the power to the Orange wire through the fuse.
