65 vette, nom 68 350, trying to get running again since 1990...friend gave me a new coil. It says do not use with ballast resistor, which the car has. Can I bypass the resistor? And how would I do that?...Thanks in advance...

 

That coil has a built in ballast, sold them many times in my parts store. Just remove one of the wires from your ballast and piggy back it onto the other one.
