Default Body off Frame question

I've done several body off restorations on Chevy X-Frames, but never on a vette. Do I have to drop the gas tank to remove the body from the frame? Body mounts, steering intermediate shaft, ground straps are a given. Thanks for the insight/advice, Dennis

c2 I’m assuming; No tank can stay, just watch the rear quarters on rear body mounts when coming up

It's not too bad to do, but there are a few items to make sure you get. This thread should help:

Also, fuel tank is attached to the frame. Don't need to remove it to pull the body.

And the tach and speedo cables... I know, I know, it is obvious but I have seen this step forgotten once before.

I have already removed the entire drive train, bumpers, radiator ,hood rockers, so I a little ahead on the body removal. Thanks to all for the great help.

As others have stated you don't have to remove the tank but if you do remove the tank the body does not need to be raised as high. Also, be mindful of the filler neck. If your ceiling clearance is limited, tank removal might prevent having to remove wheels to clear the ceiling. I have removed and reset a body in a garage with 8-foot ceiling, tough but doable.
