Where is the block casting date located on the 265 block?

IIRC, it’s on the right side of the block, near the oil filter.

Neither of us is completely correct. I misread his question and told him where to find the casting number, not the casting date.

Lemme try again.....

The casting date is on the top, rear of the block slightly to the right of the center of the engine.

Not sure how much changed over the years but my 62 has a bracket in the way to see the casting date. Had to remove it to be able to see date.
