Yep, that car is just eye candy, and the L72 makes it a dream car - at least to me. Thanks for posting.
I remember the Radir wheels from back in the day, but never had a set.
Did your 235's fit without too much work?
They fit well on three corners, meaning 1/2” of clearance. On the right rear there is 1/4” of clearance.
Here is the right rear that has 1/4” of static clearance. Fortunately as the wheel moves up, more negative camber is introduced and I have never had any issues with spirited drives through the winding roads of NY. Every C2 has some slight dimensional body differences and sits on the chassis is slightly different positions meaning you need to check carefully before committing! I know it’s hard to see here but it is my only picture. The 4.25” bs provides plenty of clearance for the ebrake bracket and cable.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in here.
Reno: Thanks, it looks like the Radir wheels only come in 14's and 15's.
Scotty - very nice 64 - are those 225's?
Factoid - Whew that corner looks tight. You've got kahunas. I might buy the wheels and one 235 and try it on all of the corners. Of course with an L76 I don't need the traction you big block guys do, but the 235's do look good. With the unavailability of that Rocket Strike I'm leaning toward US mags which have 4.04" backspace. The boss (wife) is not wanting to lose the spinners from the hubcaps, and US Mags are certainly proud of theirs. With less backspace, the wheel/tire will be farther from the trailing arm, and closer to the inner fender lip, correct?

Yes, but then you don’t fill the wheel well and the car looks like it sits too high. The 235/55-17 fixes that issue. This is stock height with F41 suspension.

Filling the wheel well would depend more on the tire than the wheel.

Ya, no guts no glory. That 66 just sits right. It looks like Chevy could have produced them like that.
My passenger side rear is going to be the tighter side on my car. I'm concerned about clearance on the fronts as well, but it looks like 225's will fit in there. I may order up a couple of 225/55/17's, mount them up and check clearances with them all around before ordering the rears.
Six7390gt...... one thing I just remembered about the US Mag wheels that we have on our car..... the rep assured me that they would fit, and there would be no clearance issues with the brake calipers...... when I installed the rear, there were no issues, with the fronts, the wheel just barely touched the calipers..... I got some 1/8" spacers, and all was good..... I called the rep with US Mag, and they credited me back the $$'s to cover the cost...... I got mine locally, link below......
I just noticed you are not far away...... when the weather gets better, hop that baby onto a ferry with your new wheels and tires and head on over, so we can check out the rides.......

Dad - Thanks for the info on the fronts, I'm glad you remembered that. I've ordered up a pair of the 1/8" wheel spacers from Joes. That's one fit up issue out of the way.
Yes, we're just over in Port Orchard. It would be good to get together for a drive this summer - that sounds like a lot of fun.

Well this was a fun upgrade. I went with 225's all around. I probably could have gone with 235's, but the drivers side rear would have been mighty close. I chose Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's for tires. They have decent reviews on tire rack, and are tailored for the old muscle cars. The car drives a lot differently now. With the 15" Coopers the rear would "wallow" - can't think of a better term - coming out of a spirited corner. The car would also wander while going straight down the road, causing me to constantly correct with the steering wheel just to go straight. With the new wheels and tires it feels planted. It takes bumps better and corners are fun. And it goes straight down the road.

Absolutely perfect wheel/sidewall/body relationship; the best I've seen on the forum.
