I installed the engine and transmission as a unit onto the chassis. The engine mounts didn't line up with the frame. That's a big OOPS.
Do I shim it?
Anyone experienced this? I think I've read either this or a similar issue.
All advice appreciated.
Pictures attached. The passenger side bolt by the fuel pump installs easily. The drivers side is misaligned
.
You got the wrong mounts. You can shim it , but do both sides equally.
Pop, Thanks. These are the same type "interlocking mounts," I removed. These are new from ZIP and many advised I use them. Guess I'll shim.
Thanks again

Reason: clarity. I have new mounts.
The local cars and coffee advice was not to shim. Find the issue and resolve it, don't bubba it. Another person had this issue and he said "loosen the mount bolts and wrestle it into position." So, with a little help, and the engine hoist, the bolt holes finally aligned. I even remembered to install the bolt facing forward with the nut next to the fuel pump. Moving on.
