I bought a car that does not have the inner or outer splash shield. It just will be my driver, but I want to get the bottom of the car finished right. I believe I understand that the inner splash shield goes behind the front wheels, hooks on to the new bracket that is just below the firewall. The sides are screwed to the frame with a bolt kit.
The outer shield location has me stumped. Is it also in the front wheel area or the back ? Companies have drawings of the product for sale, good. The drawing does do not show the location on the car for the outer splash shields.
Hmmmmm Anybody have a picture for me of one on a C 2 car ?
I don’t know what year your car is, but they do not use the inner splash shields on a 63 Corvette. The outer ones bolt to your fender, and to the inner fender, not real easy to install once your rocker moldings are in place.
1966. I will install them before the body goes back on, I think. And before the rocker moldings go on. Thanks.
you cannot put them on until the body is on the frame because your body mount is right above them. But put them on before you put your rocker panels on.
