I was installing my emergency brake cable on my 58 Corvette and I think I either have this upside down or it is bent. Is it supposed to look like this at the sharp of an angle? I am thinking that I may have this upside down.

Thoughts?

Looks to me from that picture yours is bent. Here are a couple of my 59, reassembled as it was when I bought the car in 1981. Works great and just clears larger 2 1/2 inch exhaust.

I have to agree with all the members that have posted thus far. Suppoed to be straight, I know my 61 is.
