The top bar on the spinner in your pic is going towards the front of the car , is that correct?
And the arrow Is pointing towards the front of the car ?
You need a lead hammer called a MOTHER Thumper to hit the spinner.
Google the name and you will get their website to buy one

After you get the Mother Thumper and are ready to remove the wheels , have the full weight of the car baring on the tires on the ground and loosen the spinners with the hammer.
I thought I was following the advise not only from here and my own research but also I went to a car show yesterday and talked to two C2 owners about knockoff rims. Everyones information was to get the center cap off to see if there was locking pins holding the spinners, so this morning I took my time and removed the cap. The guy at the car show said get a dead blow hammer that is what he uses. Hard to sorce a lead hammer locally. How heavy of a lead head are you talking?
Yes I did hit it when I first raised her up with a very small rubber hammer.
Hammer showed up today. Instructions say to raise wheels off ground then give the spinner two or three whacks then spin the wheel and hammer on the next one. Keep going around, like tightening a drill chuck. So I did and it unscrewed. Dry but its apart now.
My rims say Western wheel on the inside.
