I want to remove my headlight motors and all I see holding them in is a bracket with a ground wire attached to it holding the motor in place.
Does anyone have a picture of what else needs to be removed to pull the motors?
Thanks, Bud

Sorry I can't contribute more to this posting. But...I'll be following it. My Detroit Speed driver headlamp is hanging up. The thing I realized in attempting a solution is there's not much holding the motors in but there's minimal room for manipulation even with the front grill removed. Time for the busted knuckle garage in late fall season for me.

Unplug the harness, Remove the bolt that goes into the motor then swing the bracket to the side. Remove the wire clip on the headlight pivot shaft. Then wiggle the motor off the shaft and it's yours

Here is the clip mentioned above. Remove that and the motor assembly should slide off the post.

Thanks guys. Here is a picture of mine and it looks like a previous owner never installed the clip.
Bud

Looks like the clip is missing. Same on the other side.

Another tip - if the headlamp bucket is in full-open or full-closed position, it sometimes will be a bit difficult to slide the motor off the headlamp bucket shaft because it is in a bind. To prevent this, move the headlamp bucket slightly away from the end-of-travel position. You can do this with the headlamp opening switch if the motor is operational. If the motor is not operational, move the bucket manually with the thumbwheel located on the motor shaft.

Yes, the clip appears to be MIA. They're readily available.
