I have never done this. I am recovering my seats and putting new door panels in my 65' and the dash pads are going to have to be redone. I need to replace or dye them. How difficult is it to get them off and back on ?
...if you replace them, it's a one way trip and the skins themselves are now rare...you re-dye the skins in place if that's the way you go, or you pull the entire eyebrow and re-dye that way...kind of completely different approaches
Kid,
The advice I got in a previous post on dyes from Dan's Yellow 66' was not to try dyeing them in place because it would be very difficult to have them come out right. Therefore, I assumed I would have to remove them to get a good job. Is it easier to pull the windshield to get at the pads to dye them?
