[C2] Another TKX question.
I have an L-79 with a 3.36 DIfferential. Its 'Fine' but I'd like a bit Lower First Gear and still good Highway RPM. The Wide Ratio (on paper) seems to give both to me, It produces a 10.99 Final Drive Ratio in First and 2.42 in OD... Any real world experience with that Combination ?

I was told many years ago that 1st gear is designed to " get you moving from a dead stop"..... Not to toss another " item" into this discussion..
I looked at SBC, BBC, and LS crate engines for my project... The larger horsepower versions were mostly, if not all, larger cams in the same engine, which do not like the higher OD gearing.... Something to think about..
My opinion of an OD is it being a Freeway gear for highway travel...

In the old days there was the Tremec with 3.27 first gear was rated at around 430-450ftlbs(?). Can't recall the 5th gear ratio.
Then came the Tremec TKO rated at 600 ftlbs with 3.27 first gear & 2nd gear around 1.97.
When the Tremec 600 was introduced it offered the longer 2.87 first gear and a 2nd gear around 1.90 with 5th gear OD Options either 0.82 or 0.64.
Anyone should be able to change a couple variables (at the top of the sheet) for Diff Ratio and Tire Size to use for your own use case... Just don't try to mess with any field with a formula
