Default 1967 Corvette

I am trying to tack down where my car went from the factory.
Acording to NCRS the Dealer code is 0 and Zone 21.
I bought the car 2017 in England but it seems to have spent many
years in South Africa since it changed hands in 1979 to
a gentleman in Blantyre Malawi.
The vin is 194677S116293
I will appreciate any help

The seller told me that the car was ordered new at the New york international Auto Show and then exported to Malawi
Maybe that explain dealer code 0

I don't have an answer for you, but just as some anecdotal information, the NCRS Shipping Data Report for my car states:

The original delivery dealer was Dealer code 1 in zone 21
The name and address for the Dealer was:
Foreign Distributors Division - Export

I don't know if there's any relationship between your document and mine, but it seems from your information that your car may have been sent over-seas.

Here is link to an old thread here on the forum that may be of some interest: Gene Jantzen Chevrolet - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion

I hope you find the information you're looking for. If you do, please share it here.

I would guess they actually mean Dealer code 000 , which would be a zone office specifically ordered car. In your case , for zone 21 (I do not have my zone list with me).

I did some research now that led to this
The first owner Mr H Schulz living i Blantyre Malawi ordered the car at the 1967 New york automobil show.
The 10th of January 1979 he sold it to Mr J Campbell.
In 1987 he moved to England bringing the Corvette also.
10th of october 1989 Mr Campbell sold the car to Mr Orkin who did a total nut and bolt restoration.
After 28 years of ownership he let the car go and i was the lucky buyer here in Sweden.

Really nice that you were able to track down the history of your car. That car had to be a pretty rare sight in South Africa in 1967.
Thanks for sharing the information.
