For Corvettes sold in the US:

You can get a free Restoration Package for your Corvette from GM/Chevrolet. Call the Chevrolet Customer Assistance hotline at (800) 222-1020 or 810-696-4800. You'll want the customer service option on the menu. You will need to supply the VIN of the car.

The phone call only takes 4-5 minutes of your time and is absolutely free. The Restoration Package usually gets sent out to you within 2-3 business days of your request and includes the following:

Chevrolet Past Model Parts
Chevy Restoration Corvette Manual
These are unbound photo copies of the manual. The Restoration Manual is a specifications book for the model year that you request. It includes several magazines articles, followed by an order guide for that model year, General Information and a Vehicle Overview. MVMA specifcaitons for your requested model year. The Past Model Parts information is a directory of suppliers that carry GM Restoration parts, shops, suppliers and publications. The package comes from MSX International in Auburn Hills, MI.

I just requested this for my 63 Convertible in the past month.

The Customer Rep told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks, but it took less than two to get here.

Some of the illustrations are very hard to read because of blurs, but the text is almost always readable.

FYI the 810-696-4800 number is not a working number. I always dial the non 800 number first because I have free long distance on my cell and by dialing the non toll free number there is usually less time on hold. I got through on the other number with out any dely, it sounds like a very nice package. Very :cool: of Chevy to do that.

Yesterday or the day before, someone was trying to sell one of the free specification books for a '64 that come as part of the package. Go figure!

Funny when I ordered mine, the lady asked me for my VIN, gave it to her and you could hear her counting the digits. Finally she goes "okay, what year is this?" Started me laughing.

Thanks for the information on this Restoration Package from Chevrolet. I called for both my 67 and 73 Coupes and was also told that it would take 4-6 weeks for them to arrive.

My only concern now is, the girl had me repeat my phone number, address, and zip code about 4 times, so if it makes it to my house it will be a miracle. But, I'll keep my fingers crossed (I could probably use this package more than anybody...)!

Ordered two packages on monday (one for the 96 and one for the 67) Good news is I recieved package on Saturday :D Bad news is they sent two for the 96 and none for the 67 :sad: . Called Chevy today and they're sending me one for the 67, hopefully it will get here just as fast.
