Default 68 Corvette electrical problem

I am having a problem with the left brake lights and left turn signals on a '68 Corvette.I have checked the rear lighting harness by disconnecting it at the main harness and powering up the yellow wire. this lights up the left rear brake lights,so the problem is not in the rear lighting harness. There is no power in the yellow wire in the main harness. Can anyone tell me where this yellow wire gets it's power from and any likely trouble spots to look for? I also have no instrument panel lights Any ideas?

Probably in the turn signal switch itself. Power should go to the switch and out to each rear brake lamp. The switch cancels one side when the signal is activated.

It was in the t/s switch. I found the t/s wire terminal broken off at the switch and one of the brake light wires pulled out of a terminal that accomodates two wires. Thanks for the help,it was appreciated.
