I just bought a 66 onvert and need to have the clock serviced. Could anyone give me some help on how to get the clock out of the dash. I can follow instructions,Love the car but no very handy. Thanks Mike
If you do not have a radio you can just remove the passenger side filler panel for access to the clock. If you do have a radio, the easiest is to remove the glove box door and liner for access. Once you have access there are two clips that hold the cloce in. Use a mirror and you will see just how they slide off the studs. Remove the light bulb receptacles, the plug for power and the clock will come out the front. Easy job, have fun...
Remove the side panels on the lower part of the center dash. Reach up over the radio and feel for two "V" shaped spring clips behind the clock. Squeeze the "V" to release spring pressure and the clock can be removed from the front. BTW, the clock can usually be repaired by pulling it apart and cleaning the electrical contacts with some emery cloth.

Since there are some very good suggestions on the removal (the installation is just as easy but in reverse) I wll offer a suggestion on where to have any work done. I use and HIGHLY recommend:
