283 For Sale (61-64 Block #3789935)
Hello-
I have a complete (except for carb and valve covers) 283 for sale in the Chicago area. It ran fine when removed from my 1958 Vette but I replaced it with a 350. The cam was pretty radical and I know the history of the 350 better. The previous owner of my Vette told me it was just professional rebuilt at that time (1993). I can't find any specs or paperwork on the motor so I am not sure what cam, etc. it has. It's sitting on a stand and the buyer can have the stand also. Pick up only from Chicago area (O'hare). Asking $650.

Forum rules require a price; no best offer threads.
3. Best Offers & Gauging Interest
The forum will permit "OBO" or "serious offers" in a sales or WTB thread where a price has been stipulated. Responses to WTB threads must include an asking price.
We will not permit posts or threads where no price is stated, and the seller asks for open offers. Neither is it acceptable to ask a ridiculously high price with a request for offers.
Members are not permitted to "gauge interest," in their item for sale thread. Such threads will create an ebay type auction, and that is unacceptable. Sellers must create their thread with an asking price included.
Only forum vendors are permitted to gauge interest in their products.
