Default Tailpipe restore??!!

Noticed my chambered, aluminized, tailpipes are showing some surface rust. I know to clean them with wheel acid but, what, if anything, is out there to paint them with that won't look like Bubba painted them with $2.00 aluminum paint?

TIA

Depending on how bad the surface rust is, you can use steel wool or a Brillo pad to remove the rust making them shine again. I know this isnt much help as for a spray, but its the best I can do.

Oddly enough, I ran across this tonight from corvettefaq. Don't know if it will help but thought you might want to read it.

Hello,
I have a similar problem with paint overspray on the left muffler. Rather than leave the paint on the muffler, I am planning on spray painting the muffler with a silver high temp paint. Something that will look close to the original appearence.

My opinion is I rather it look like it was painted than look like it had either overspray on it, or is begininning to rust out.

Sincerely
Bubba Gump.

I used POR20 on my entire system.
I guess it looks like a cheap paint job, but no rust.
It is clearly NOT the original aluminized coating.
