I have had my vette since last May, I was pretty happy with the performance. I was able to peel out and go pretty fast. But, tonight I had my first ride in a modified Buick Grand National! I don't think I have every been that scared in a car. The guy says he ran an 11.3 at the track, I didn't believe him until I took a ride and then he showed me the time slip. Just incredible! I guess its time for me to order those aluminum heads!
To top off the night I took him for a ride in the Vette and he acted amuzed on how fast it was. I wasn't sure if he was serious or not b/c compared the GN my vette might as well had a 4 cyl

Amen reverend... a Grand National or any of their like cant hold a candle to a Vette. They might go faster but thats a shallow victory for them, we've got everything else
One cool thing about the whole night was that he kept saying mine might be faster but yours is a f***ing stingray. So there is a definite respect between us and our cars!
A GN is a bad bad car and will roast most stuff on the road...especially if it's been modified...but it can't hold a candle to a vette in the looks dept.
any car can be made to go fast. With enough money even a civic can be made fast. But..at the end of the day...win or loose..fast or slow...your driving home in a Corvette Stingray..he is driving home in a Buick. Its a cool buick but its no corvette.
