If so how well? I have.. maybe a 10 degree incline on my driveway and my E-brake wont hold the car? Should'nt it work better than this? Some times is a real pain to start the car on a incline without rolling into something.

I used Stainless shoes on mine, before reading that you shouldn't. Seems the Stainless Steel flexes more than it should, causing the brake shoe to bend and not hold as well as it should.
Lets say the car is parked on an incline or downward sloping hill. To start the car I need to have one foot on the clutch and one on the gas.
With the clutch in the car will roll, this is bad becasue I might roll into something. If the parking /E -brake works I wont roll into anything and car start the car with out juggling my feet around.
On my 81 they work. Just takes a bit of adjusting to get them so that they don't drag too much and also work well. If you want them to work you need to make sure that all the parts in the wheels move freely and aren't rusted or cruded up. Dito for the cables.
On my 82 Bubba (previous owner) cut the cable to install the exhaust. It's on the list to fix.

I thought the Corvette E-Brake stories were only a myth like Bigfoot or the Lochness Monster. You mean to tell me that that center handle isn't an "Oh sh*t handle" used for hard cornering?
