Default bubble tailights swap

I see this in the catalogs where you swap them out and have four red lights instead of two.A couple of questions.First can this be done without using the bubble lenses and how do you like the idea of having no backup lights?

yes, I didn't like the bubble ones so I got an extra set of stock lights and 2 pigtails and wired them in, works fine. You may need a higher capacity flasher if the lights blink too slow.

i just did it. Replaced the inner reverse's with stock 80 outters. Looks great and only took me about 15 minutes total to do the job. You need to splice into the brake light sockets with another brake light socket and tie up the reverse light sockets (just incase you want to go back to having 2 brake, 2 reverse. Eventually i will jump into those reverse light sockets and put reverse lights someplace.
