hi, my name is mike. i've been reading the posts arround here for a few weeks now and have very much enjoyed all of the usefull information i have picked up arround here. i have already used some info i found here to get my stock clock running great and keeping very good time.
i love C3 vetts. i have ever since i was about 8 or 10 years old or so. i would see them driving around town back then and i always thought that they were just the best looking cars i had ever seen. C3's were still pretty new when i was a kid (mid 70's to early 80's). nothing else i have ever seen looks quite like a C3 vette. i've always wanted one and now i finally have one.
i am working on restoring a 73 convertable. it's an L82 with a 4-speed manual. original color was silver with black interior. previous owner had it painted metalic red. did a pretty good job of it and i like the way it looks so for now she stays red.
it's in pretty good shape mechanically. lots of fun to drive. i have a list of things that need fixing like AC, new top, heater core...... i'm sure i'll have plenty of questions for this forum.
i just finished pulling the entire dash off to clean up or replace all of the dash lights. couldn't see some of the gages too well in the evenings befor that. lights up great now. even the stock radio lights up now.
i have througly enjoyed working on this car (except for working on the radiator. that really sucked) and look forward to the day when every thing is working again just like it did the day she was first driven off of the lot.
i'm glad that there are great forums out there like this one to help me achieve this goal.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your vette. This place is a good wind down to every evening for me. I like to come here and see what everyone has been up to and how their projects are going.
As always, we love to see pics. So shoot a few of your new toy and post a few shots so we can get a gander at it.
