Default Car Transport help

Can anybody tell me who you believe to be the best and safest deal to transport a car from the west coast to the East side of the US. There are many companies out there, but trying to see what you think the cost would be and what companies have worked out for you. Thanks for any help you can give.

Check out intercitylines.com . This is who I was going to use if they could have picked it up for me when needed. I have seen several recommendations for them on this forum and then are the official trransporter for Barret Jackson, Bloomington Gold, Corvette Mike, etc.

You can contact Jim Bergeron at (800) 221-3936 x106 or via email at

There was a thread here only a day or so ago regarding transport.

Ive been looking into transport companies for my vette and DAS - Dependable Auto Shipping seems pretty good. I can't say that I have had experience with them yet, but they are linked to EBAY Motors and so would have to be pretty good for that reason alone.
They do enclosed transport also, if thats what your after.

They have a great online quote service as well, check it out as it can't hurt.

Anyway good luck.

I recently used DAS to ship a car from Ft. Lauderdale Fla. to NY. No issues at all. I thought it was reasonable with full insurance from terminal to terminal for $625. I had to pick up the car at the terminal about 80 miles from here, but door-to-door is much more expensive.

Note that many of hte "power sellers" on eBay have vendor accounts with DAS and they get it cheaper then the quote you will get over online by yourself. Rising gas prices have also effected recent rate structures though so check around.
