Default what would you do?

I picked up a nice 75 for not a lot of money recently. i bought it for the sole porpose of droping in a blown big block, gutting it for a racing interior, and backhalving it. cool. just this morning another vette nut on the motorcycle board i frequent sent me a PM. her brother had a real nice 68 vette. no motor no tranny. he had it sold localy but the buyer has flaked and she wanted to know it i wanted to buy it for $5500. i would like to have a 68 over a 75 because i think they look better. even after i sell my 75 it's going to cost me a couple grand to buy the 68 and ship it from florida but i can live with that. problem is i don't know how comfortable i am with chopping up a nice ( and it is a nice looking one ) 68. kinda feel i should leave it for a guy who wants to keep it more stock then what i am planning. what do you guys think.

I'd rip up the '75, personally. A bird in the hand and all that.

If a chrome-bumpered car is what you really want, won't be happy with a soft-nosed car, and can afford it.....
GO FOR IT!

No-matter how nice the '75 might turn-out, you'll always look at it, thinking:
"Man, I still wish it was the '68....."

Cut the '75 up, race it and buy the '68, if it is as nice as you said, and put it back on the road then everyone is happy!

Have you seen what some of THESE guys do? I wouldn't worry. Just DON"T put Stingray on the fender. THAT"S A NO NO for a 68.

If it were me I'd mod the 75. I feel the 68's are too precious to chop. To me there's nothing nicer than a factory looking chrome bumper Vette.
