Tell me you picked up the ireplaceable stainless piece of trim that goes across the front of the top. The top I got for $200.00 was also a fly-off, but it fared better than yours. Mine was missing the trim when I got it...

Hans
the trim is still there, but bent badly where the top hit the ground... I'm surprised that it held together that well considering that the speed was over 100 mph when it came off!!
I raced for 3 years with no issues with the hardtop.. However, the car was never that fast before
exactly! You might want to think about your entire car's aerodynamics at 130 mph or so!! What about that wing? Purely cosmetic at highway speed, but what does it do at 130???

I had the car up to 165 mph on the highway once and it was still accelerating hard when I left off... so aerodynamic is not a major concern...
No intentions of getting the car re-painted.. All the $ goes into performance.... I'll try to get some touchup paint and try to cover up some of the damaged area..
Just attached the hardtop with 2 bolts which are bolted to the 2 holes where the pins from the top usually attach. I also used duct tape to prevent air from getting between the windshield and the top...
Well that ones a goner. I wouldn't try my luck again with that top on the track. Looks like you'll really grab some air now with that front header fit.
