I decided to go all out and have my whole exhaust system done. Everything was stock and had holes everywere. I got some Doug Thorley headers, the best high flow cat thats CA legal and a pair of flowmaster 40's with duel outlets on each. I really like the agressive look of the 4 tips comming out the rear. Here are some pics:
The difference over the stock system is huge! Basically my car finally sounds like a muscle car and really grabs peoples attention. They can be almost too loud at certain lower speeds so I just drive fast to avoid the noise.
Also, I get much better response when comming off the line. I was really surprised at the neck jerking action I got when leaving the parking lott at the muffler shop. The car is definatly much more fun to drive. (did i mention they were loud?)
Do you have a cross over pipe in the middle there? (I can't quite see in the picture).
If you don't, it may get rid of that excessive exhaust noise caused at low speeds that you mentioned.

Nope, I don't need one. Here in CA the smog ****'s say that if your car came with 1 cat originally then you must have one and only one, I can't go true duals. So I have my pipes Y'd into and out of my cat, same effect as a crossover.
Also, I noticed that the full length doug thorley headers are now the lowest point on my car. I guess I have to be really carefull or I will bust up the collecter and possibly get an exhaust leak.
Thats a bummer re the smog regs but I guess if you get the right sized cat it wouldn't make a difference as someone else said. What sized cat did you get?
Looks like a quality job....except. I can see your mufflers in the side view. I would take it back and get them to angle the mufflers up more and then make the tips angle downward.
I did not want the tips to angle downward. I had this exact discussion with the guy at the shop. I asked him to hide the mufflers as much as possible while keeping the tips flat (no angle). I think it looks a little more aggressive this way, and that is what I was going for. What I may do is see about painting the muffler flat black so it's not very noticeable. But for right now I really like it.
