Default Ignition Shields

Anyone with these installed on a 70 vert. My spring project is some minor engine detailing and I am trying to figure out what the lower end of the left/right vertical ignition shield bolt to. On the left it appaears it could bolt to the lower spark plug bracket but the right side does not appear to have a hole through the bracket to bolt to.

Have all those of my 70 right now. If I follow, your right on the driver side. It wing nuts to the black bracket that seperates the plug wires.

On the right side it wing nuts to the chrome shield covering the back 2 spark plugs,(6 &8). Theres also a hole in the center of this piece that fits around the temp switch for the TCS wire to go through.

Just asking on the verticals that connect from the distibutor box. On the drivers side I see a hole to attach the chrome to the lower spark plug bracket but, on the passenger side the bracket is diffrent and I can't seem to see any hole to attached the lower end of the shield.

Guess I didn't explain it right. The right vertical shield lower hole attaches to the right rear spark plug shield. Thats the chrome piece that covers the 6 & 8 spark plugs. It has a hole at the rear that a captured nut slips over so you can put a wing nut on it. I'll go take a pic later and post it

Now I get it, thanks for the explaintion. I was thinking that I could mount these without the spark plug covers but I guess I will need to put the four piece spark plug set on as well .

Checked yours out too. Everytime I see donnybrooke green, I'm more convinced to bring it back.

Already changed the 74 silver interior color back to saddle. Your green int. was my 2nd choice.
