Default New spring install!

I just finished putting new shocks and a new spring on my '80. I just took my time and it was a fairly easy project thanks to this forum! The only thing I didn't get installed were my adjustable strut rods. I couldn't get one of the shock mounts loose. I guess I'll fight that battle another day. So, my question is what is the correct wheel well height? I've got about 30 inches. I had 30 and 30 1/2 before I started.

I took it for a spin and man what a difference. It was only the stock metal spring but it's definitely alot better than the old one. You should have seen the shocks!!

The only bad thing was my alternator/battery light came on during the test run.

Oh well, I'll save that for another day. I just stopped at murray's and they've got a bosch rebuild 63A for $36 with a life time guarantee. I might have to pull the trigger on that one. I need to look to see what a bigger one will cost in case I put electric fans on it someday.

Thanks again to everyone on the forum, without this forum I never would have attempted the swap out.
