ps- on the insulation in the background of the pic...you may want to reverse that. the paper backing should be faced the other direction or covered(sheetrock etc...), it is a serious fire hazard

Mine has been on jack stands for over two weeks now. If it's not one thing it's another with these old cars.
I get so jealous when I see some sexy modern sports car with the top down when the Vette is in the garage.
With all money I have into mine I could have bought a C6 vert and I could drive it every day, rain or shine.
Saturday I was in my boring daily driver and I saw a lady in her daily driver- a nice little porsche boxter. It was no vette, but at least it ran! And she glided over speed bumps with ease!
No I don't hate my car... but she does get on my nerves!

Ahhh, I see an opporitunity to upgrade coming here. Sorry to see damage. Do you remember anything that might have happened to cause this. Clears up the bent electrode mystery.
i had just put 89 octane in it to save a couple bucks at the pump and I already had a 1/4 tank of 93 in it so I didnt think it would harm that much with a 'mild' 10:1 compression engine..
10 minutes later coming home.. started running real rough... and smoking out the drivers side pipe
