MY name is Quick 1, I was born a 1969 t-top, I have a big block 427, with ported & polished heads, A High rise Intake with dual Quads, Hooker Side Mount headers, an MSD ignition, and 500+hp. My rear end is a Dana 60 narrowed 6 inches, a M-22 rockcrusher 4 speed trans, and Wineberry DELTRON paint to die for!!
I had my 1st owner for 7yrs., then I got lucky to be picked up by my 2nd & current owner who has taken my body off & changed every nut & bolt on me! I have been through 5 different paint jobs, my motor has been rebuilt 4 times, and my rear end has been jerked out & replaced TWICE! Now that Im lookin & feelin good, he still hammers my go pedel! and I LIKE IT!
Mike: Did you do all the labor on the rear end yourself? Did you buy a prefabbed back half kit and install it or have someone else do the install? The setup looks great and I watched the video of the engine running. Awesome!!!

Yes I did the complete install. It is a Prebent 2x4 clip to my specs. Then jig welded.17inch inside frame rails,21on the outside.Allows a 32x16 goodyear or 32x17.5 et street tire. The chassis is dead straight and set-up for 7.50 ets,That is a mark williams pro mod style rear end with 9and a half inch ring gear and alum 3.812 carrier with titanium spool and 40 spline gun drilled axles.11/16 studs with titanium lugnuts. It uses coil overs with either a diagonal link, wishbone or panard bar depending on how well the track hooks, complete 4 link . best 60 ft 1.06 .mike
Something like that I would have to take in to have done. Any idea what they might charge for labor? Is it still "streetable" or is it too radical to drive on the street? Just curious as I don't plan on any street driving.

I have heard 5to10thou depending on what you get.My rear end is close to 10thou but it is for serious power. The carrier alone is 5600 dollars.I figure 3thou labor plus parts would be a good deal.If I was doing it that would include complete cut out stretched wheelwells 2 inches. 38 or 40 tubs, fiberglass overlayed so it doesnt sound like a tin can inside and you dont get smoked out after the burnout.full cage, battery box, fuel cell, pump and lines ran,4 link set-up and coil overs set for ride height, four corner weighted, rear end narrowed and frame clip installed squared with front ball joints. brake lines ran. As far as mine yes I cruise it during nice days and it has good manners for what it is. no cornering worth a hoot but straights are fun.Its borderline but there are very few 7 sec cars that can still cruise around and go to the track without doing any major changes from cruising to dragstrip.I have not had a chance to see how the 16 injector NOS system is going to work I just installed.Next month it gets tested.mike
