Default Oh Noooo!

Came off the interstate tonight after a little cruise and noticed my guages/lights/switches were dim. Luckily I made it home as everythinmg got dimmer and dimmer. What do you guys/gals think it is? Alternator? The battery is an Optima red top. Alternator is one of those Mopar style, chromed with internal voltage regulator deals. Any ideas or opinions (non sarcastic) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Loose alternator belt, or bad alternator/connections

do you have a voltmeter? If not get one.

you should have around 14 volts when the car is running and 12 when the engine off.

OldSchool: I'll check that. I only have one belt. But maybe it's got a loose conection.
Turtlevette: No, I don't have one. The dash I installed left me limited as far as possible mounting spots that would be aestheticly pleasing I might just mount one in the engine compartment though.
Thanks ya'll!
