Default fuel guage problem

Yesterday I pulled my 75 Vette up on ramps to change the oil. When I backed off of them I noticed that my fuel guage was stuck in the three o-clock position. Can anyone help me by telling me what may be wrong and how to fix it. Thanks.

Most likely the wire from the sender came loose, or shorted out. Cant remember which. Check it at the sender connection.

A bad ground at the sender caused the same thing to happen to me.

There is also a ground wire attached to the tank. Mine was loose. Double check the wires like Gary said.
