I have just purchased a 1980 RHD corvett and am new to this forum so please bear with me?.
My question may sound a bit vague, but could someone tell me what the switch on the console next to the heater slides is. it can be moved forward and backwards with a spring return to centre,it also has a small LED light on it , after looking at the wireing loom it, it is not after market, but standard.. I am guessing maybe! the aireal up down...

On my 78 it is the rear window defogger. When on,that little light is green. Look at your rear window. You should see lines(heating elements). It functions only when engine is operating and has an "auto shut off" after ten minutes.

If you have a power antenna,it will come up when you turn the radio on.
