I am sure this has been posted before, but does anyone have the formula to calculate final drive. If there is a web calculator for this it would also be helpful. Thanks
Rotate the tire exactly one turn. Have someone else count the number of times the driveshaft goes around. If it goes 3 1/2 turns you have a 3.55. 3 3/4 turns a 3.70. Little over 4 turns a 4.10. 3 turns a 3.08 and 3 1/4 turns a 3.36.
go here, sign up (no big deal) and go to the bottom of the page. they dont exactly say "final drive ratio" . however, i bet you will get your answer here.
you can see what your speed and rpm will be with different tire size, transmissions or rear ends. pretty cool.
