Default vacuum canister

Does a 79 corvette have a vacuum canister as earlier models did?
Thanks Al

Yours is probably just behind the drivers side front tire....

Look below the headlight actuators at the giant crossmember under them. If there are vacuum hoses going to it there is your tank. My 78 and my 82 have it there.

both are prrobably there on his '79...the one you describe is for the headlights and the one I'm talking about has a charcoal filter in it to help reduce the gas smell...
