Default "hello world" new suspension

Just joined the forum. Also made my first purchase with Van Steel today. I talked to Dan. It was a very good buying experience. I found 'um to be professional, knowledgable, efficient and patient with me as we worked though the the parts and questions. Glad to see this kind of Rep in this huge vette enthusiest family forum.

Tonight I will put the vette on stands and start spraying and soaking the suspension connections. It nice to know that Y0U are out there in case I run into trouble.
I've worked on cars as a young kid, but never on the suspension.

Hey, these little face...smilie things are fun.

This symbol has a little different meaning to me cause I'm a BlueGrass Fiddler. it kind of goes with my new name 'Vette Fiddler'

After total suspension upgrade, the steering , if still loose will be the next project.

Well, my soap box is starting to buckle.

O.K .......I'll take it easy on the little guys next time.
oops! that one slipped.

Welcome to the forum...and the madness...owning a vette is like a disease...there's always something to do!

Off topic-you wouldn't happen to be near central iowa would you? My graduate adviser is always looking for a Bluegrass fiddler for his bluegrass band. He goes to festivals all over the place, so if you're interested, I'll give you some contact info.

Good luck with the suspension upgrade, that's on my list for next year, along with steering...this year was engine, and hopefully exhaust upgrade.

I just spent a ton w/VanSteel...they did my trailing arms and rear spindle assemblies, and I also bought new shocks and a new rear spring...

You won't be disappointed. A+ work and exceptional service.

Sounds like me and you are in the same boat. I just made my first purchase with Dan at Van Steel today too. Great people. I am sure they will quickly get to know me on a first name basis. I saw on a previous comment, I was starting to wonder if Van Steel did work that you could ship back and forth. I was thinking of having them do my trailing arms. What does their work go for on a set of these?

Yes in the last month, I've spent a buck or two with Dan and VanSteel has answered all my questions, shipped on time, and provided a terrific product for the $$ spent.

In my case it was front end this time, but next comes the rear. I can feel it

Front suspension parts are A-1 and the control arms are powder coated too. Not to mention that the ball joints are riveted in place. Good stuff!

Thanks for the welcome. Not close to Iowa. I grew up in Kentucky/Indiana then moved to California about 20 years ago.

I still have a few miles I can squeeze from my 72 350, so it will be a while before rebuild. Hope you get your exhaust and engine completed to your satisfaction and delight. Then on to the next project.

Thanks for the welcome and the advise for the stablizer bushing bolts!
I'm ready to listen with to avoid grief. The guy called *****. Enjoy the time under your vette while it lasts. I plan to when my parts arrive.
