I've been using Amsoil Products for the last 15 years. When I rebuilt my four speed about ten years ago I put in Amsoil gear oil and the Limitied Slip Additive and haven't touched it since.

There is a big difference between synchro fluid that is meant for a transmission and gear oil that is meant for the differential. Go with the synchro fluid - it's only about $5 a quart and you only need 3 quarts. That isn't high $$$...
Last week I had my T-10 rebuilt, the rebuilder said non-syn is fine. He also said you can put in gear oil with posi additive and it won't hurt anything but it doesn't help anything either.
