Id this hole
ok , Gary Gruhala and myself are having trouble Id this hole in my rear deck lid , anyone ever seen a hole in the center of the vert deck lid like this one

Usually the hole in the decklid is an indication of a factory hardtop car. Should also have two bolt holes at the corners of the deck lid.

They didn't have the center hole in 68. don't think they had it in 69 either. They added it in 70 ir 71, but yes, it is definitely for the factory hardtop. There will be a pin in the middle of the hardtop that goes right through that hole, for a total of 3 pins on the 71 hardtop.

I see you've got the holes on the inside corners of the lid, but they should also have stainless threaded inserts. They're not bare holes.

ok thats what gary was telling me , he had 68 and 72 and neither had the center hole , so I thought bubba might have drilled that there for his CB ant

probably used a later deck lid on it for some reason if the later ones had the center hole and the earlier ones did not.
