Default Emissions in Dallas?

I've got a '70 in Rowlett that I just brought in from Colorado. The car is really stripped down, it was getting ready for paint. The seat belts arn't in etc etc and I'm wondering if it would pass the inspection. What am I up against as far as emissions / inspection in Dallas county? Can anyone recomend a testing center also?

You should be OK as far as emissions goes. So far as I know, all 1973 or 1974 and earlier cars are exempt everywhere. Again, this is based only on what I've seen....here in Michigan we're not getting tested at all yet, but I'm sure it's in the near future.

Although there's no sniffer test for cars 25 years and older you still have to pass visual. In your case probably evap, thermo aircleaner, PCV. Maybe smog pump. In my experience most inspectors are kids and don't know what to look for so don't worry too much about that.

What they WILL check includes wipers, all lights (even the license plate light), seat belts, brakes INCLUDING parking brake. If you're missing any of this you will have a hard time.
