In order to troubleshoot my horns, I disconnected the wires from the duals that are mounted just under/behind the front license plate area ('74). I went back to the horn button and started to disassemble when all of a sudden "HONK"...
I climbed underneath and double-checked...all wires were disconnected.
Went back to the horn button and "HONK"...
WTF?!?
I went back to the front end and, looking down thru the open hood, where all the headlight vacuum stuff is, found a THIRD horn tucked just underneath the front facia. This is definitely a factory horn as the connector was part of the wiring loom and the horn/mount looked like GM.
Does anyone else have three horns? Does this make my car rare?

I have three original GM horns on my Silver '68 and I also have "the original" window sticker showing where it was an "added on" option by the dealer for $15.88 by the original owner

Hmmm...I guess three is better than two. Welcome to the club!

Try this: close up your vette, windows etc,and lock doors.Insert your door key into drivers side lock, and turn towards front of vette, then back to 12 0'clock,remove.Run around to other side, and unlock passenger side door.If your alarm works, one of those three horns should "honk".
Just dawned on me what was meant by "alarm activator" relocated" in 1974.
Also, when my horn quit working,it was the relay on the fuse panel.
